I have a son who graduated two years ago and another that is currently a first grader. Originally, I chose this Montessori because of their strong reading program. Both of my sons started at 3 years old and the school helped toilet train them. They also taught the boys a lot of fundamentals and by five years old they were reading.
As a Mom, I see how much they have advanced, especially my eldest, who now attends public school and is thriving thanks to a good learning foundation. At Slater I feel they are always structured and productive. The children have classroom learning, as well as independent learning at their own pace. Each child has different materials based on their individual progression. Ms. Lilia, a Kindergarten teacher, taught my son multiplication because he completed all the addition and subtraction. She introduces different materials and books when she feels they are ready.
The before and after-school care makes us comfortable to leave them while at work, and my son takes advantage of the piano lessons available from a private teacher. Overall, if I had any more children, I would enroll them at Slater as well.
